Heyloha update Q2 2026: one agent for all your channels, and a lot more

Over the past quarter we rebuilt Heyloha from the ground up. One agent instead of a separate bot per channel, smarter knowledge, workflows, warm handover and better privacy. Here is what changes.

The biggest quarter so far

It has been a while since our last big update, and there is a reason for that. Over the past quarter we rebuilt the way you set up Heyloha from the ground up. In this article we walk you through the most important changes.

The core: where you used to set up every channel separately, you now set up your AI Agent once. The rest of this article shows what that gives you, and what else has been added.

One agent, all channels

It used to be that a WhatsApp agent, a phone agent and a web chat were three separate things, with the same settings three times over. Change your opening hours and you did it everywhere all over again.

Now you set up your AI Agent once: who it is, how it sounds, what it knows and which rules it follows. Channels are simply the places where that one agent shows up. Per channel you only configure what genuinely needs to be different, such as the widget style for web or the voice for phone.

The result: you maintain your agent in one place instead of five, and whatever you change works everywhere right away.

Smarter knowledge: now including your own documents

Your AI Agent learns from your website, which we crawl automatically and keep up to date. New this quarter: you can now also upload your own documents, for example a price list, manual or terms and conditions. What is on your site and what you upload come together in one knowledge base that every channel shares.

Under the hood the knowledge has become cleaner too. Text that repeats on every page, such as menus and footers, is recognised and no longer stored twice, so answers point more precisely to the right page.

From separate goals to workflows

Goals have been absorbed into workflows. A workflow is a recipe: if this happens, do that, and then this. That is how you let your agent schedule a demo, forward a quote request or look up an order status, in steps you define.

We wrote a separate article about it, because this changes what an AI Agent can do for you.

Working together with your team: warm handover

When a colleague replies themselves in WhatsApp, Instagram or LinkedIn, Heyloha notices and the AI steps aside in that conversation. If things then go quiet for fifteen minutes, the AI picks it back up, aware of what your colleague said.

That way AI and humans work together instead of talking over each other. Here too we go into more detail in a separate article.

More natural phone conversations

Your Phone Agent sounds different. We switched to OpenAI's new realtime voices, with ten voices to choose from. Your existing voice has been converted automatically to the most similar new one, so the difference is small. Feel free to listen to them and pick another if it suits you better.

Privacy: personal data stays away from the model

Before a conversation goes to the AI model, we strip out personal data and put placeholders in its place. In the answer the real details come back, but the model never sees them. Think of names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and more. Since July we use a new model that recognises Dutch names considerably better.

This is always on for your chat channels. Want to know more? We made a separate page about it at heyloha.ai/beveiliging.

A new dashboard and fairer numbers

After logging in you land on a new overview: conversations, goals achieved, what is running live and the status of your channels, with a comparison against the previous period. You can even open a test conversation with your agent straight from your dashboard.

The reporting has become fairer. Since this quarter we only count conversations your agent actually handled on its own. Conversations that ended up going to a colleague no longer count. The number may come out lower as a result, but it is now more accurate.

What does this mean for you?

In short: fewer scattered settings, smarter answers, better collaboration with your team and more control over your privacy. Everything you used to set up per channel now sits neatly under Agent in the left-hand menu.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to set everything up again? No. Your existing settings have been carried over to the new model. Everything now lives in one place under Agent, instead of scattered per channel.

Does the price change? No, this update changes nothing about your subscription. Your phone number is only purchased once you activate the phone channel.

Why are my saved hours lower than before? Because we now only count conversations your agent actually handled on its own. That is not a step backwards; the number is simply more accurate now.
